No matter what, always start out saying “thanks for pulling this together”. A slightly less cool version is “Thanks for PUTTING this together”.

There’s no better way to set the stage to then make generic criticisms.

    Then say: absolutely nothing while you wait for the doc author to self-flagellate by pointing out the doc’s shortcomings (that you missed anyway as you were busy checking your StockPlan Connect account).
